In Exodus 34, God invites Moses to come be with Him saying, "come up in the morning to Mount Sinai, and present yourself there to Me on the top of the mountain." He went up the mountain, met the Lord, and "made haste to bow his head toward the earth, and worshipped." Moses stayed on the mountain with the Lord. He was communing, listening, and worshipping the Lord. When Moses came down the mountain and approached the Israelites, "behold, the skin of his face shone, and they were afraid to come near him." Moses spent time with the Lord. He allowed the Lord to draw Him into intimacy. This process literally changed the appearance of Moses' face.

The Lord is calling each one of us to get away with Him. He has something to say to you. He wants to commune with you. He is inviting you to come and worship Him. Will you accept His invitation?

Just like we see with Moses, intimacy with God is transformational. When we spend time with God, we become new. How can you spend time with Love Himself and not become more loving? If we actively live in relationship with God, we will appear different. This week, spend time with God in prayer, not just to check a box, but to be transformed by His steadfast and infinite love.

O give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His steadfast love endures for ever!...
Out of my distress I called on the Lord; the Lord answered me and set me free.
With the Lord on my side I do not fear. What can man do to me?
The Lord is on my side to help me; I shall look in triumph on those who hate me.
It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to put confidence in man.
~ Psalm 118: 1, 5-8

"Prayer is nothing else than union with God. When the heart is pure and united with God it is consoled and filled with sweetness; it is dazzled by a marvelous light." - St. Jean Marie Baptiste Vianney
